Current Studies:

Do you have low Testosterone? - Low testosterone is a fairly common medical condition affecting 20 to 30% of men. If you are at least 18 years of age and less than 80, are in reasonably good health, and have been told that you have low testosterone, you may be eligible to be in a clinical research study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for the treatment of male hypogonadism. Eligible volunteers will receive, at no cost,all study-related: Physical examinations, DEXA scans, and ECGs, Laboratory tests, Investigational medication, Reimbursement for time and travel expenses. Does chronic constipation limit your life? If so, you are not alone. Millions of adults in the United States suffer from this condition. A clinical research study for individuals with chronic constipation is currently seeking participants. The purpose of this clinical research study is to determine the safest and most effective dose of an investigational medication for the symptoms associated with chronic constipation. You may qualify for this study if:
  • You are 18-75 years of age (male or female)
  • You have chronic constipation

Female Sexual Dysfunction (Arousal and/or Desire disorder) Medical Research Study - This study is for females at least 21 years of age who are experiencing sexual arousal disorder and/or desire disorder. The study lasts approximately 6 months and requires 12 study visits. Qualified study participants may receive investigational active drug or placebo. All study-related exams, labs and tests are provided at no cost. Compensation up to $900.00 is available for your time and travel. For further information, please contact 972-4-DOCTOR (436-2867).

Osteoarthritis Knee Pain? - Are you at least 35? You may be eligible to participate in an investigational topical gel research study. Compensation up to $200 for time and travel. For information, call 972-4-DOCTOR (436-2867).

Infant Formula Research Study- This is an open label research study that evaluates the growth of your baby when using a marketed low lactose, milk-based infant formula with ARA, DHA, Galacto-oligosaccharide and Lutein.   All babies receive the infant formula at no cost for 16 weeks as well as study-related care from a Board-Certified pediatrician.  To qualify for participation: 

  • Healthy, single birth, infants carried full term who are less than 14 days old
  • You are unable to breastfeed or have made the decision to formula feed your baby

Adolescent Stop Smoking Research Study - The purpose of this study is to test if a drug is safe and tolerable for adolescent smokers ages 12 to 19 who smoke more than 5 cigarettes per day (those 12 to 17 years of age will need a parent/guardian present to sign an informed consent). Participants would randomly be assigned to take the investigational oral medication or placebo (inactive substance) for 12 weeks, combined with smoking cessation counseling and would then be followed for up to 8 more months, for a total study duration of 1 year. Compensation is provided for time and travel and all study procedures, including psychological evaluation, smoking cessation counseling, physical exams and labs are provided at no cost. Adolescent Bipolar Type I Research Study - This study evaluates an investigational medication for Bipolar Type I Disorder in kids 12 to 17 years of age who are experiencing manic or mixed episodes.  The study provides all study-related laboratory tests and psychological evaluations at no cost. The first part of the study has 7 to 8 office visits over approximately 2 months, with compensation for time and travel.  The second part of the study provides all study participants the investigational medication for 26 weeks.   This study is enrolling at our Plano location (Plano Parkway @ Tollway) at Dr. Sejal S. Current Studies:

Diarrhea-IBS Research Study - This study evaluates an investigational medication for moderate to severe abdominal pain along with diarrhea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). To qualify, you must be 18 to 79 years of age and be experiencing primary patterns of diarrhea-IBS. You should be willing to use only the investigational medication or placebo through out the study. The study is up to 19 weeks long with 5 to 7 office visits and up to $470.00 provided for time and travel if you qualify. COLD SEASON IS HERE AGAIN! - And who has time to be sick these days? - Local doctors are conducting a clinical research study on the effects of an FDA approved medication in reducing cold symptoms. Frequent Nighttime Urination Research Study - This study evaluates an investigational nasal spray for men and women at least 50 years of age who have frequent nighttime urination. The study provides investigational medication or placebo, labs and compensation for time and travel to qualified participants.
